My parents are the unofficial new owners of the 2003 Matrix XRS with a 2ZZ and a PROPER manual transmission for 5200 dollars. My dad says the engine and 6 speed transmission reminds it of a MK4 Supra. Now to brush up on my manual skills.

The engine SOUNDS AMAZINGBALLS! It sounds so revvy...

The stock exhaust is loud. And sounds good.

Sweet Vibe, bro.

But in all seriousness, congrats! Should be a very reliable driver.

Thanks and the irony of a GM vehicle of being reliable.

They seem like such underrated cars. That 2ZZ is superb.

I had one of those. The Cyberwagon I called it. That was a really good car. A fun driver that would swallow anything.

It was my uncle’s (family kerfuffles restrict me from visiting him and his family) which quite possibly had the 2JZ-GTE (I don’t know, but it was clean as fuck) and then sold it for 15k to my cousin. My dad drove it when it was new. He said it was very good.
